These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by 24Speaking. By using our website and booking our services, you agree to these terms.

Services Provided
24Speaking offers individual online Dutch language lessons, including supporting learning materials.

Lessons are offered as:

  • Individual lessons

  • Prepaid lesson packages

All lessons are provided online.

Booking and Payment
Lessons are booked through our online booking system (Acuity Scheduling via Squarespace).

  • Trial lessons can be booked free of charge

  • Paid lessons must be booked and paid in advance

  • Accepted payment methods include iDEAL, PayPal, and credit card

  • Lesson packages must be paid in full before use

After booking, you will receive a confirmation by email.

Cancellations and No-Shows

  • Lessons can be rescheduled up to 24 hours in advance free of charge

  • Cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows will be charged in full

  • Tutors may reschedule lessons if necessary; in that case, an alternative time will be offered

Right of Withdrawal (Herroepingsrecht)
Under EU consumer law, consumers normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal.

However, by booking a lesson within this period, you explicitly request the service to begin immediately.

This means that:

  • once the lesson has started, the right of withdrawal no longer applies

  • prepaid lesson packages are non-refundable once (partially) used

If no lessons have been used yet, you may request cancellation within 14 days.

Intellectual Property
All materials provided by 24Speaking, including texts, exercises, and lesson content, remain the intellectual property of 24Speaking.

These materials are for personal use only and may not be copied, shared, or distributed without permission.

Liability
24Speaking is not liable for:

  • technical issues or internet problems on the student’s side

  • interruptions beyond our control

If a technical issue occurs on our side, the lesson will be rescheduled at no additional cost.

We aim to respond and resolve issues within a reasonable time.

Applicable Law and Disputes
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Dutch law. In case of disputes, we will first try to resolve the issue amicably. If this is not possible, disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.

Third-Party Booking Platform
We use Acuity Scheduling (Squarespace Scheduling) as our booking system. When you book a lesson, your data is processed through this platform. Acuity acts solely as a technical service provider. All services are delivered by 24Speaking.

Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The most recent version will always be available on our website.
